Memories

A lot of my friends and family have been doing this - so I thought I would too!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! Since this is our family blog, feel free to leave a memory about any of the four of us.

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :)

We have lots of fun memories of playing with the Rowes! But probably one of my favorites is from our trip to the mall last Christmas. We had both stopped to look at a picture and Mikaila and Tanner got on the elevator and headed down. Suddenly there was screaming...we realized what had happened. Rachel ran down the escalator to rescue them, while I stood there with the strollers waiting for the elevator to come back! Luckily, the trama wasn't too great and it's fun to laugh about now!

Hey guys! I have a lot of memories about Spencer growing up so, I thought I would share one. I remember when Spencer was on the swim team and he had to wear a speedo to race (they were the same the professional divers wear now). He would wear sports shorts over them right up to the point he was going to race. He would take the shorts off and give them to a girl (whichever one was lucky enough at that meet) who would take them down the the end of the pool where the race was completed. Spencer always had to look cool!!

One more, Spencer and I were such dorks together. When we were in high school we would turn on rap music, turn on the video camera, and dance. I crack up every time I watch those videos!

Hey Rachel,
My first memory of you is talking to you & Spencer when he & Josey were roommates. But the fun memories came later, when we were pregnant at the same time and decided to exercise together. I remember trying lots of different things to find something to keep us motivated or entertained, and nothing really worked too well, but it was still fun trying!

As your sister I have loads of memories, and I have been trying to think of an awesome one, but there are just too many so I am going to go for one that is later in life.
My freshman year of college when we were neighbors-I think I was a lot less nervous about starting school because you were just right up the stairs from me to save me if I needed it-at least until you met Spencer and started dating...how we were all waiting in your apartment for you to get home from your date with him, and we just happened to be watching "Never Been Kissed," or how we would go work out everyday together, man we had it good-and you didn't realize you were pregnant, but I pretty much knew--or how you got me hooked on the best show ever, Gilmore Girls and you would let me come and watch it with you when I was in mourning while Cody was in Virginia. Thanks for all the memories you are a great older sister!

Of course, there are the letter we wrote back and forth to each other while I was in Saudi- but the most memorable thing in my mind is me coming over and only wanting to play in the barn and see the little baby Jersey calfs. You were always like, "Uh, Holly. Really? They are COWS! BORING...!" But not to me- I had just gone 6 years without seeing ANY animals except mangy cats with Ringworm...Your house was a haven for me. Also something that is burned into my head is sleeping over during the summer and getting up with all your siblings and piling on your parents bed to read the scriptures before bed. I have vowed to do that ever since.
Swimming- when Jake put rubber bands around your big toes to keep your legs together while you did Fly sets, lifegaurding and living off of Summit Inn pizza or Ramen noodles. And of course, that night we turned off all the lights at the pool after hours and went skinny dipping. That was awesome!

Oh so many memories...

Your birthday party where you and I won the water-balloon throwing contest

Being in Mrs. Rufs first grade class together – I didn’t realize I looked so mean to you

Slumber parties at your house where we stayed up way too late

Exploring the fields behind your house, jumping on the strange watery ground, and burying our feet in cow manure. Why did we do that?

Playing in the huge cotton piles in your barn... that was a load of fun!

Going to high school football games, basketball games, and other school activities

Rides in your cool blue Oldsmobile

Coming to your swim meets

Eating lunch in the hall at high school

Going to a BYU football game with you and Eden where we got totally drench by the unexpected rain down pour

…and many, many more great memories! Actually, all the memories I have of you are fond, happy memories. I miss you and the great friendship bond we shared!

I was just thinking today of the summers when I would come visit and "help" out on the farm, like hauling hay...I think you kicked my but there every time, or playing across the houses, or even me driving the tractor into an old barn one summer. It was always fun in Kamas!
