So I'm a basketball widow tonight - again. Last night our ward had a game, and tonight is just pick-up ball. I don't mind cause I know its a big outlet for Spencer and that he loves it. He is working so hard right now with his normal job and then also trying to put in all the hours he has to every week to build our house! And I'm just kind of busy and stressed out trying to take care of our two busy boys and take care of our home and all the details of life! We hope to get through this year - its gonna be crazy though until our house is finished! But worth it.
So basketball. Yeah my cougs are letting me down this year in hoops. They started out great but as of late have really disappointed. Especially last night against UNLV. It was AWFUL! They played their worst game ever even though they are a much more talented team. You would think coach rose would have figured out how to coach against UNLV's STUPID pressure defense!!!!!! But no - he hasn't obviously. Anyway, I'm frustrated. (Hopefully my brother-in-law Jeff doesn't read this. . .) And I hate UNLV. And its totally not fair that they get to play on their home court for the conference tournament every year!!!!!!! Ok. Sorry for those of you who don't care - but its just a part of me. Laura understands. . . . its just who we are and always will be. Win or lose. But at least they win at the Marriott Center - but its just not good enough!!!! Sorry for those non-sports fans out there. But your missing out. Really.
Anyway, its way fun to be able to go to all the BYU football and basketball games with our family! Tanner loves it and Benjamin is getting trained. In fact, here are some pictures to prove how good they are.
Tanner actually asleep at a football game. . . I think the Utah game even . . . . at the end when it was so loud!

And Benjamin asleep at a basketball game. . . .

And a picture of the stadium after the Utah game - what a beautiful day!

So anyway, yes, they are good boys and are doing well in their training. Anyway. . .
By the way - my pictures are taken with our camera phones - so sorry if they aren't the best quality.

Sometimes I wonder if you (and Spencer) need to move out of state for a while...it helps with the recovery period after BYU plays like garbage-you just don't seem to care as much because you don't run into it as much-not to mention you don't seem to run into as much RED, which helps a lot!
I've loved your posts and explanations. I know what you mean about being all mom and no girly time. I do go to a scrapbook night but have never once scrapbooked...all talk and treats for me. Basketball nights have started for the stake and pick-up games around here as well, plus Greg is biking in the mornings and has bishopric and mutual duties a couple nights a week. Oh if we could just be neighbors again and put in Pride & Prejudice while they were gone.
That BYU tradition will never be broken! Sometimes I am jealous that you guys (Wagstaffs) have such a passion for sports and "your" team...even if it means you have a BYU christmas tree every year. I like sports...I just need a team to follow...any suggestions? :)
Chris has church ball tonight- I love that he goes!
